For years I've wished for a repository for "life events." I needed a place to store my journals, travelogues, memories of friends and family, articles I've written, and little snippets of my life that I think would be interesting for my great-great-great-grandchildren to read. As my 73rd birthday approached I conceived the idea of a website to be my "basket" to hold these notable events.

The Little Donkey that Might

For months I've been posting to my FaceBook wall short messages about the imminent birth of a baby burro a friend of mine is expecting from Mama Burro. They are titled "Donkey Post" and from earliest to most recent.

Donkey Post: Cindy sent Mama Donkey back to her home...even though we saw evidence of little feet pushing across her belly many times, we think something must have happened and that she is not carrying now. Many thanks to all who posted notes and were following her saga.

My Storage Unit for Thoughts

After my mother-in-law died, I was the "keeper of her stuff" and I felt a heavy responsibility to my children and their children to compile some sort of scrapbook of her life so that her progeny would know what a wonderful person she was. I thought it should contain more than a few photos, pieces of genealogy, and a blurb in the obituary column.
